QC&DKM 2026 – Workshop on Quantum Computing & Data/Knowledge Management @ VLDB 2026

Workshop date: September 4, 2026

The 2nd Workshop on Quantum Computing and Data/Knowledge Management (QC&DKM 2026) will be held on September 4, 2026, co-located with VLDB 2026 in Boston, MA. The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners from databases, knowledge representation, and quantum computing to explore one of the most consequential intersections in modern computer science.

QC&DKM 2026 is a full-day event combining invited keynote talks, peer-reviewed paper presentations, and a moderated panel discussion.

Scope

The workshop addresses two complementary directions: how quantum computation can enhance core data management tasks, and how data-centric requirements shape the development of quantum systems. Topics include:

  • Quantum query processing, optimization, and compilation
  • Quantum data structures, indexing, and storage models
  • Quantum-enhanced information retrieval and ranking
  • Quantum knowledge graphs, ontologies, and semantic reasoning
  • Hybrid classical–quantum data management systems
  • Benchmarking and evaluation methodologies for quantum data workloads
  • Data security and privacy in quantum environments
  • Applications in knowledge-intensive domains (healthcare, finance, scientific research)
